I don't have a lot of this formatted yet, but on the tab on the right under "Fishing" you can see some of the fly patterns I've tied and some pictures of past fishing trips.
I currently attend school in Boulder, Colorado, which has a creek running right through it (haven't caught anything out of it yet), and a lot of the best fly fishing in the country is located extremely close to where I am. When I go back to California, I usually switch back to spin rods for the local lakes. I only started fly fishing this year.
Anyway, this is also an adventure blog - and my next one is coming up soon. There's a little lake my friends and I go to a few times a year that I'll be at later in December. We shoot guns on an abandoned airfield and mess around on a golf cart during the day, and at night we sit around the fire talking and sharing a few beers (among other things). We also see the same herd of elk each time we go (shown above). I'm hoping to get some awesome pictures as always this year.
I hope everyone has a good holiday season, and to all you fishermen, good luck and tight lines!
Looking out on the lake... camp is on just the other side! |
